About ShipCompare
ShipCompare is a public price-transparency service for shipping in Canada. We ask platforms, brokers and carriers to price the same shipment and publish the answers, ranked by all-in price.
Why
Shipping in Canada is opaque. Platforms resell the same carriers at different prices, published comparisons are written by the sellers themselves, and the costs that matter (fuel, surcharges, post-delivery adjustments) often appear only on the invoice. There was no neutral, all-in comparison across platforms, and none in French.
What we are, and what we aren’t
- We are an information service. We are not a carrier, broker, freight forwarder or reseller.
- We don’t sell labels or take a cut of shipments. When you book, you deal directly with the source.
- No source pays for placement. The order is always cheapest first.
- All our data is open, under CC BY 4.0.
Independence and hosting
ShipCompare is an independent project based in Montréal, hosted on Canadian infrastructure. It is not affiliated with any of the sources it compares.
