Terms of use

Effective October 29, 2026

1. The service

ShipCompare.ca (“ShipCompare”) provides comparative information about shipping prices obtained from third parties (“sources”). ShipCompare is not a carrier, broker, freight forwarder or reseller, and is not the agent of any source or user. ShipCompare sells no transportation service and is not a party to any contract of carriage.

2. Quotes

Prices shown are supplied by sources at the time of the request, for a new account, and may change without notice. They are not an offer by ShipCompare. Price, terms, liability for loss or damage, claims and any adjustments are solely between you and the source or carrier you choose to deal with, under its own terms.

3. Open data

Data published on the Open data page is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International. The site’s text and design remain protected by copyright.

4. Acceptable use

Don’t use the service in a way that disrupts it, circumvents request limits, or aims to resell access to the sources. We may limit or block abusive automated access.

5. Warranty and liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, ShipCompare makes no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness or availability of the information and is not liable for decisions made on the basis of it. Nothing here limits your rights under Quebec’s Consumer Protection Act or any other law of public order.

6. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The English and French versions are equally authoritative.
